JYJ’s Jaejoong tops Japan’s iTunes chart with “Sunny Day”

JYJ Jaejoong’s pre-released single “Sunny Day” not only swept local music charts but also took over Japan’s iTunes single charts.

Prior to the full release of his first full-length album ‘WWW’ on October 29, Jaejoong released the single “Sunny Day.” The single topped local online music services including Bugs and Cyworld as well as grabbed the No. 1 spot on single charts of iTunes Japan.

According to C-JeS Entertainment, “This is the fifth time that Kim Jaejoong ranked No.1 on the iTunes chart in Japan this year.” One industry expert in Japan added, “For a Korean singer to top Japan’s iTunes chart is a really remarkable achievement. But for Jaejoong to do it 5 straight times, it only proves his unparalled popularity in Japan.”
