G-Dragon sweeps music charts in Taiwan and Hong Kong


After achieving an impressive all-kill in Korea, Big Bang’s G-Dragon also placed himself atop of musc charts in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

On October 16th, YG Entertainment announced that G-Dragon’s second studio album, ‘Coup d’Etat’ has ranked first on music charts in Hong Kong and in Taiwan’ss biggest music site, KKBOX after going on sale in the two countries on October 4.

The track “Crooked” which was released earlier than the rest of the tracks, is still maintaining its top position while other tracks including “Coup d’Etat”, “R.O.D”, “Who U” and “Black”, can also be found within the Top 10.

“Coup d’Etat” also debuted #1 on ‘MY MUSIC TAIWAN’ weekly music chart, while “Crooked” was number one for OMusic Taiwan. The album is also popular in ringtone websites like Taiwan Mobile Telecom Company.
