[NEWS] FTIsland Completes Concert Tour at Budokan

FTIsland completes their Japan tour successfully with a solo concert held at Budokan last evening.

Having started their “Tour 2011 Summer Messenger” since 29 June, FTIsland completes the round of concerts with a final stop at Budokan on 29 July, performing a total of 28 songs including the encore segment, captivating some 10,000 fans.

All tickets for this show were sold out within 2 minutes*. Vocal Lee Hongki greeted everyone by saying, “We’ve been waiting for this stage today. Budokan!” and the concert began with “Brand-new days”, a song from their 2nd single.

It was the first time for FTIsland to stand on the Budokan stage.

Lee Hongki couldn’t hide his excitement and said, “During our concert held at Tokyo International Forum last year, we were so nervous performing in front of a 5,000 crowd. But now, we’re standing in front of 10,000 fans.”

He also revealed to the fans the reason for titling their tour as “Messenger”, saying that they wanted to send strength and cheerful messages to those affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Fans cheered loudly upon hearing this.

FTIsland performed their hits as well as their latest songs, including the insert song “Itsuka” from Lee Hongki’s first Japanese drama “Muscle Girl”, creating a great atmosphere throughout the concert.

Fans also cheered and waved the towels in their hands when the band performed their 5th single “Let it go” on stage. This single also ranked 4th on the Oricon single daily chart when it was released on 27 July.

The concert reached its climax when the band performed their Japanese debut title song, “Flower Rock”.
