[News] SBS ‘You’re Beautiful’ to release Director’s Cut DVD!

SBS drama “You’re beautiful” (Script by Hong Jung Eun, Hong Mi Ran, Director Hong Sung Chang) Director’s Cut DVD is scheduled for release.
The writers of “You’re Beautiful” Hong Jung Eun, Hong Mi Ran recently revealed the plan for the release of the director’s cut dvd in a meeting with Newsen. The director’s cut dvd’s 16 episodes will be edited into 10 cds and is scheduled for release in January next year.

Writer Hong Mi Ran said  “Because the story was weighted more heavily on Tae Kyung (Jang Keun Suk) and Mi Nam (Park Shin Hye)’s line, many of Jeremy (Lee Hong Ki)’s parts in particular were regrettably edited out.” And “Even though during the bus scene, all of Jeremy’s feelings of loss were portrayed to the maximum through great acting, it is a pity that we were not able to touch the audience well.”
As a result, the DVD will not only focus on Mi Nam, Tae Kyung but will also include content on Jeremy and Shinwoo (Jung Yong Hwa)’s stories which could not be included in the broadcasted version, making the episodes more complete. In addition, interviews of the actors and directors as well as OST will be included.
At the moment “You’re Beautiful” has been confirmed to be broadcasted in Japan, Taiwan and various Asian countries at the beginning of next year. On top of that, there is talk of creating a musical and movie of the drama.

Note: There is another article which states that the dvd will be released in 10 cds with 20 eps. But as far as the info goes, there will only be 16 episodes. However, it’s the same amount of footage and each episode will be extended, so dont worry, we’re still getting the same amount of video time.
