BIGFLO to debut in Japan with 'Delilah'

Rookie group BIGFLO from HO Entertainment will be debuting in Japan this April.

BIGFLO will be releasing and promoting the Japanese version of 'Delilah' starting April 15th.

BIGLFO debuted with the release of their 1st mini album 'First Flow', and with 'Delilah' (Korean version) in June 2014. Immediately, their 2nd mini album 'Second Flow' was released in November with 'Bad Mama Jama' as the title track.

CNBLUE's 'White' ranks #2 on Oricon single chart

On April 8th, CNBLUE's new Japanese single 'White' climbed to #2 on Oricon Single Chart, reaching the total sales volume of 19,589.

'White' is a song written by CNBLUE's Lee Jong Hyun and lyrics contributed by Jung Yong Hwa. The album also include a track called 'Stay sober' written by Jung Yong Hwa, and another track called 'Irony' written by Lee Jong Hyun. 

The album's title track, 'White' was pre-released through Rekochokku on April 1st and right away debuted #1 on Rekochokku Download Chart as well as HVM Japan's Korea-Asia Daily Combined Chart, showing CNBLUE's popularity in Japan.

Meanwhile, CNBLUE members are busy with their individual activities such as concert tour, variety show, drama and music show hosting.

BEAST's 'Hands up' tops Itunes Japan chart

On April 7th, Cube entertainment announced that BEAST's latest Japanese track, "Hands Up" nabbed first place on iTunes Japan. 

"Hands Up" is the rhythmical dance track which was released on the 6th. It topped the chart after only 1 day, showing BEAST's strong popularity in Japan.

BEAST recently also formed its own independent Japanese label “BEAST Music” to focus on promotion in Japan. Through the new label, they are set to unveil a new song every month for 10 consecutive months. 

Meanwhile, BEAST will hold a Japan fan meeting tour in May with 4 big cities: Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.

BTOB's 1st original Japanese single is their next project

BTOB will be releasing their first ever original Japanese single in March.

The single will be entitled with 'The Future.' The famous composer and producer Shin’ya Tada and Mashin Ikuta made their participation for BTOB's upcoming Japanese song.

It will be released on March 25th.

Apink to start "Mr. Chu" promotion in Japan

It has been reported that Apink will fly to Japan on February 14 to promote their digital single “Mr. Chu”.

With the cute dance song released last March in Korea, Apink received a lot of love from public and became one of the most successful girl groups last year. 

Along with the success in Korea, the girl group is expected to be recognized in Japan as well. They will leave for Japan next week and will stay there for about 10 days with fan meeting, concerts and Japanese TV shows. 

Apink debuted in Japan last summer with their digital single “No No No”. The song is very successful and Apink has earned many more fans. 

Let's see if they could also succeed with "Mr. Chu".

WINNER adds Japan in their 'WWIC 2015' host cities' list

After confirming WWIC 2015 in Seoul and China, YG Entertainment announced on their official Twitter that WINNER will be also holding the event in Japan.

WINNER will in China first particularly on January 10th at the Beijing Worker’s Gymnasium, followed on January 17th at Grand Stage in Shanghai and on January 24th at toe Gao’an Gymnasium in Shenzhen. Then on January 31st, they will be in Seoul. Their Japan schedule will be on February 20th and 21st in Osaka and on February 22nd in Tokyo.

T.O.P's movie 'Tazza 2' to be released in Japan

'Tazza 2: The Hidden Card' featuring BIG BANG's T.O.P and actress Shin Se-Kyung is going to premiere in Japan in 2015.

'Tazza 2: The Hidden Card' was first released in Korea in September this year. Its story revolves around the world of gambling. T.O.P played the role of a gambler named 'Ham Dae-gil' who reunited with his first love 'Heo Mi-Na' inside the gambling industry.

Tazza 2 will be seen in Japan on January 23, 2015.

Which kpop group draws most Japanese fans to their concerts in 2014?

According to the recent survey of Nikkei, a Japanese monthly magazine, on TOP 50 artists with the most concert fans, Big Bang took the second spot with about 920,000 fans for 29 concerts in 2014, standing behind Japanese rock band EXILE TRIBE with 1.05 million fans and even beat Arashi at number 3.

Statistics showed that there were bout 32,000 fans came to each Big Bang concert. Member Daesung, who promoted in Japan under the name of “D-Lite” attracted about 170,000 fans to 15 concerts. If combining both Big Bang and Daesung's promotions and concerts in Japan, Big Bang has drawn about 1.1 million fans, which is a really impressive figure.

Other Kpop artists made into the lists are TVXQ, EXO, Girls’ Generation and SHINee.

Kim Hyungjoon to have concert in Japan this November

Kim Hyungjoon will be having his solo concert in Japan this November.

From November 10th to 28th, Kim Hyungjoon will be performing in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka as part of his 2014 Live Tour 'Endless Story.'

Also, he will release an album in Japan entitled 'BETTER' on November 19th.

Crayon Pop signs with a Japanese company

Chrome entertainment has just revealed that Crayon Pop had signed with Japanese music label Pony Canyon, aiming at a debut in Japan next year.

Pony Canyon is one of Japan’s biggest music distributors. It has collaborated with many Korean musicians such as Jang Keun Suk and B1A4 in Japan.

Crayon Pop became a phenomenon thanks to the hit “Bar Bar Bar” with its unique choreography and cute helmet. Before heading to Japan, Crayon Pop will release an EP on November 19 for domestic fans.

NU'EST takes a romantic and pure concept for their jacket photos for their Japanese debut single 'Shalala Ring'.

The three album covers are released showing the members looking charismatic and angelic in their all white outfits making various group poses.

'Shalala Ring' will be released on November 5 in three editions; Limited Edition A (CD+DVD), Limited Edition B (CD+DVD) and the regular edition (CD only).

JYJ's album ranks No.1 on Tower Records monthly chart.

On September 5, it was reported from C-JeS Entertainment that JYJ’s second full-length album ‘JUST US’ topped the Japan’s Tower Records monthly chart for August. 

Although the album was released in July in Korea and not officially released in Japan, it still climbed to no,1 on the weekly chart in its first week of release with 17,000 copies sold out, proving JYJ’s immense popularity in Japan.

It was also revealed that JYJ’s agency is flooded with calls from Japan inquiring about the trio’s detailed schedule for their Asia tour, but there has been no confirmation yet for any particular Japanese cities.

JYJ's Japanese fans have always been really supportive of the group. About 2,000 Japanese fans visited Korea earlier this year for Kim Jae Joong’s fan meeting. The '2014 JYJ Membership Week' launched on July 31st also drew over 4,000 fans from Japan. Kim Junsu’s musical and ballad concert held last May in Tokyo and Osaka attracted around 63,000 fans, which is a really impressive number.

JYJ kicked off their Asia tour, 'The return of the King' through Jamsil concert on August 9th, and their next stop will be in Chengdu, China on September 6th.

EXO to hold concerts in Japan

EXO will be having their concert tour in Japan from November to December in three different locations.

'EXO From EXO Planet #1 - The Lost Planet tour to Japan' will be happening at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium from November 11 to 13. It will be followed at the Osaka-jo Hall from November 18 to 20 and the last will be on December 22-24 at the Marine Messe Fukuoka.

Girl's Generation sets another record in Japan

On July 23rd, Girls' Generation released "The best", a compilation album containing 18 hit songs, including "Genie", "Gee", "Mr. Taxi", Japanese version of "Mr Mr", brand new ballad “Indestructible” ..., and it debuted at #1 on both Oricon Daily Album Chart and Weekly Chart.

It is the third time Girl's Generation has topped the Japanese chart following "Girls' Generation" in 2011 and "Love & Peace" in 2013. With this result, Girls' Generation became the only Asian girl group that made three consecutive #1 debuts on Oricon Chart.

Meanwhile, Girls' Generation's new album advertisement will be posted on billboards at Ginza, Shinjuku, Ikebukuor, O-otemachi, Akihabara, Rotbbongi, Ebis, and Yurakcho areas of Tokyo until August 3rd.

Tickets of Hongki's musical in Japan sold out

On July 18, Hongki's management agency FNC Entertainment revealed, “The opening show of Lee Hong Ki's musical "Vampire" in Japan sold out of its ticket”, proving his huge popularity in Japan.

Lee Hong Ki is back with ‘Vampire’ as the Dracula after 5 years absent from musical stage. He was revealed to be well-prepared to show off his upgraded acting skills.

The musical will premiere in Tokyo Orchard hall, Japan from August 10th to 12th and from 19th to 20th with a total 7 performances.

FT Island's Lee Hongki's schedule for musical 'Vampire'

Kim Hyunjoong comes back in Japan with 'Hot Sun' & a fan meeting

Kim Hyunjoong's comeback in Japan was a success. 

On June 17th, he had a special fan meeting in Osaka, Tokyo and Nagoya where he met approximately 20, 000 fans. 

On the next day, he released his 4th Japanese single 'Hot Sun.' Immediately after its release, 'Hot Sun' landed first on 'Oricon Daily Chart' and TV show 'Music Station.'

Big Bang’s Taeyang to have a solo concert in Japan in August

Big Bang’s Taeyang will be having his solo tour in Japan.

According to YG Entertainment, Taeyang will have his solo tour in Japan entitled 'SOL JAPAN TOUR 2014' starting August 12.

But before that, Taeyang will release its Japanese album, 'RISE,' digitally on June 2nd. It has nine tracks including his title song 'Eyes, Nose, Lips'.
