Super Junior is coming forward to promote the globalization of Korean cuisine.


Super Junior has been appointed as the 2011 ambassadors for globalization of Korean cuisine, and in March, they would be commissioned at the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries at Gwacheon Government Complex.

The Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said “In order to promote Korean cuisine more effectively, Super Junior would be invited to be the ambassadors for Korean cuisine, and have many types of activities in and out of the country.”

On that day, the Minister for for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Yoo Jeongbok attended the ceremony with Leeteuk, Shindong, Yesung, Heechul and 4 other Super Junior Members.

DBSK Changmin suspended his drama shooting temporarily for Super Junior Kyuhyun. Crowned as the highest 'Male Loyalty'.
Kim Bosung and Kim Sungsu who appeared on MBC Every1 Super Junior's Foresight scheduled to air on March 2nd 2011 with 4 MC (Leeteuk, Yesung, Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun) shared their stories about 'The Loyalty as Men".

In this episode, the 4 MCs got a mission that they must call someone and they must to get the answer like "Where are you? I'll come to you right now!".

As one of the MCs, Kyuhyun made a phone call with DBSK Changmin who was shooting for the last episode of his drama. Changmin said, at first he was told by the staff to refuse answering the call, but when he heard Kyuhyun's voice in a panic, he immediately said: "Okay I know, I'm coming right away!" To assure the mission they called again, and what they heard from the phone-line was Changmin's heavy breath because he was running to pick up the phone from Kyuhyun in the studio. Seeing this, everyone in the studio was touched. Changmin and Kyuhyun's loyal friendship was showed off through the program and made the other Super Junior members and also the guests very envious.

Meanwhile, the whole story of Changmin's 'loyalty' will be revealed on Super Junior's Foresight in talking about 'The loyalty of men' March 2nd 11PM on MBC Every1.

[NEWS] 1,200 Japanese VIPs traveled to Korea for Big Show 2011



Over 1,200 Japanese fans traveled to Korea to see boy band Big Bang's return to the stage after a more than two-year absence.

The group held three concerts at the Olympic Park Gymnastic Stadium in Seoul from Friday to Sunday, with many of the Japanese visitors watching more than one of them. According to Look Korea Tour, which brought the fans here on a tour package, some 60 percent attended two concerts and 15 percent all three.

"I'd watch their concerts 10 or 20 times as long as I could get to see their faces," said one Japanese woman at the concert.

Japanese fans of Korean pop groups pay from W900,000 to W1.9 million (U$1=W1,127) for three- or four-day tours, which include attending concerts or other band events. These tourists tend to spend little money on shopping or sightseeing since their primary purpose is to watch the concerts.

It has been revealed that Wooyoung and IU went on two secret dates without anyone knowing!

During the "Dream High Special Concert", the both of them truthfully told their stories about them having two dates after filming the drama, "Dream High".
Wooyoung said, “After the filming was over, I was really hungry so I went to grab dinner with IU. We ate late at night by ourselves at a restaurant. After paying, I told her ‘next time, you treat’“.

After the cast grilled the two for more details, IU revealed, “After promising that I’d treat him the next time, we went to a meat place. I was a little worried about the bill, and was about to pay, but I found out that Wooyoung paid already. It was awkward during the meal, so we just ate“. No one except the ‘Milky Couple’ knew about their two dates. Even Taecyeon and Eunjung was surprised and kept asking them whether it is true. MC Kim Tae Woo then says in suspicion, “I bet Wooyoung just said some cheesy pick-up lines“.

They also revealed why their kiss scene wasn’t steamy or even on the lips, saying, “The producer wanted a real kiss on the lips, but we didn’t think it was right, so we didn’t do it“.

Meanwhile, Wooyoung and IU showed off their ‘Milky Couple’ affection for each other by having a special performance.

During the concert, IU performed to ‘Someday‘, her own track from “Dream High Soundtrack“. She wore an elegant dress and impressed the crowd with her awesome vocals.

Wooyoung made a surprise appearance during the performance and presented her with candies, and he went on to carry out a ‘kiss performance’ with his girl.

[News] Super Junior’s Home Scared Henry?

Super Junior-M’s foreign member, Henry, revealed what “shocked and horrified” him at Super Junior’s home when he first arrived in Korea.

Recently, Henry guest-starred on SBS show, “Strong Heart”. Henry is a foreign member who was casted in 2006, in the SM Global Auditions in Canada, through his talents, including playing the piano, electronic violin, dancing, and others. Henry’s father is from Hong Kong, while his mother is Taiwanese.

On the show, Henry said, “When I first came to Korea, the culture [language] barriers between the other Super Junior members and I were too big.”

He also added, “I received a big shock and was horrified when I first experienced the other Super Junior member’s daily habits [lifestyles].”

What could have possibly scared Henry that much? All will be revealed on the 1st of March, at 11:15 KST on the SBS show, “Strong Heart”

On February 26, for 10 minutes, starting at 5:30PM, BEAST was planning to release their music video for their Japanese debut song ‘SHOCK Japanese ver.’ in 5 major cities in Japan such as Tokyo and Shibuya through giant billboards.

However, the Shibuya police department instructed for the playing to be stopped because they were concerned that too many fans would crowd around to watch it.

BEAST’s music video was released on the 27th on the official Universal Music Youtube channel instead.

For the past eight months before Kahi’s solo debut she received vocal training everyday to polish and achieve abrasive vocals. After the sucess of After School’s hit song ‘Bang!’ and their powerful concept Kahi wanted to debut with something different. Kahi chose songs and eye catching stage costumes that highlighted a feminine style. When asked abut this new look Kahi replied, “The image I have is a strong and charismatic one…If I put out a solo record with the same image and didn’t seem to be challenging myself and trying something new I faced the possibility of decreasing my first impression as a solo artist…With this solo album I did not want to show the obvious appearance.”
“My first focus was on vocals and of course, the choreography and stage production. I was also worried about the Music video among other things. What made me the most nervous was the live stage…”
Kahi also spoke about an artist she respects a lot and gets inspiration from:
“Beyonce always has  messages of respect for women and puts them in a lot of her songs. She is sexy, her vocals and stage performances are all points that I like. I like that Beyonce represents the position of women in a lot of songs with good messages, this is something I also want to sing.”

[News] Super Junior enchants Filipino fans anew with Super Show 3



MANILA, Philippines - Korean boy band Super Junior lived up to its promise and hype as its members delivered another successful concert for Filipino fans last Feb. 26 at the jampacked Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Super Junior’s “Super Show 3: The 3rd Asia Tour” Manila leg was nothing short of spectacular, from the massive stage and giant screens to the wonderful numbers performed by the boy band Fangirls and fanboys screamed and cheered, waved their banners, and sang with Super Junior, holding aloft their light sticks that turned the coliseum into a sea of sapphire blue.

The Super Junior members who performed at the Araneta Coliseum were Leeteuk, Heechul, Sungmin, Siwon, Donghae, Yesung, Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun, Shindong, Ryeowook, and Henry Lau, member of sub-unit Super Junior-M. Special guest was SM Entertainment's artist, TRAX. The concert opened with Donghae being lifted up from the stage by cables.

The boy band sang their hits including “Sorry Sorry,” “Bonamana,” “Twins,” “U,” “A Man in Love,” “No Other,” “Hate You Love You” and “In My Dream.”

As both the band and the fans reeled happily from the concert, Super Junior-M member Henry Lau gave a shout-out to the Filipino fans who watched the show.

“Had a blast in the Philippines! You were all AWESOME! Thank you so much! Hope to be back soon!” he tweeted after the concert.

Heechul also tweeted to thank the Philippines.

“Manila! Feel so good! I really love u! My body didn’t feel good but Philippines’ cheers made me feel better,” he posted on Twitter. 

Bulletin Entertainment asked Filipino fans to share their Super Show 3 experience and they were one in saying that the concert was awesome, unforgettable and exciting.

Edna Marie Vilchez and 10 of her friends flew all the way from Bacolod just to watch the Super Junior concert. She said she was lucky that she saw Super Junior in person.

“It was totally indescribable for me. I was shouting most of the time at the concert, as in, from start to end. They were so perfect! We waited for almost 10 hours outside Araneta but it was so worth it!” she said.

Narl Marquez of Super Junior United Philippines said, “It was kind of exciting. We watched the Bangkok SS3 Leg, and we wanted more. It was also stressful since there were a lot of things needed to be prepared but it's all worth it. Actually, nakakabitin pa rin hanggang ngayon.”

Super Junior made sure that fans were not only able to watch them sing but get up close and personal as well. Members interacted with fans, and leader Leeteuk gave a shirt to a lucky female fan.

Fanboy Angelo de Villa, 22, from Taguig said seeing Super Junior for the first time was awesome. “It was a memorable experience to see them enjoy performing onstage while we also enjoyed their performance.”

For Dannca Francisco, 13, from San Pedro, Laguna, it was her first time to watch a Super Junior concert. "I felt very excited and nervous at the same time before the concert. But in the end I felt very happy,” she said, adding that it felt great seeing Super Junior in person.

Another fan, 18-year-old Judith Sabojocan of Muntinlupa City, said she loved every minute of the concert.

“Seeing Super Junior again, especially more closer now, was like what Sungmin and Leeteuk did! I felt like I was the one flying on air! I loved every minute of the show but the tribute for Kangin was amazing! Yesung and Ryeowook made my Saturday night like Valentine's Day! I love 'em all!” she told Bulletin Entertainment.

There were funny moments, too, notably Heechul impersonating Lady Gaga together with Donghae, Eunhyuk and Shindong, who all came out dressed as ladies. Siwon also did fans a service by performing a number shirtless, showing his well-sculpted body to the delight of the audience.

Fans also noted the highlights and memorable scenes at the concert.

For Marquez, whose favorites are Kangin and Kyuhyun, “My favorite would be the part where Heechul went to our side and got the Kangin mask from me. He used it during his solo and gave it back to me. I was really touched. I actually cried,” she said. Super Junior member Kangin is currently serving in the military and was unable to join the Manila concert.

For De Villa, who is a fan of Siwon and Donghae, said, “I love how they seem to play onstage on certain songs. Siwon, Donghae and the others are like playful children goofing around while performing and it was a fun thing to watch because they are what they are, on and off stage."

Eunhyuk fan Vilchez said that for her, the memorable concert moments were when Eunhyuk performed “Down” and when Henry Lau sang “Baby.”

“It was so great hearing all the fans sing with them, especially since the song was in English. The Lady Gaga and Beyonce numbers by Heechul (as Lady Hee Hee) and Donghae, Eunhyuk and Shindong were fabulous,” she said.

Francisco, who is a huge fan of Donghae, said her favorite moment was the “Rinaldo” song. "It was when all ELFs cried because we miss Kangin and also when Henry said Philippines is the loudest [crowd],” she said.

The Super Show 3 is already over but fans are still talking about the great concert experience. A day after the concert, Super Show 3 in Manila was still a trending topic on Twitter. In fact, fans are already talking about Super Junior’s Super Show 4 next year.

Super Junior had a great impression of the Philippines based on the cheers and support of the thousands of fans who filled Araneta Coliseum.

For the fans, Super Junior will always be No. 1 in their hearts.

BEAST flight attendants revealed their secret waiting room.

Their expressions are cute and they can't stop their playfulness. They are absorbed into game and some are sleeping defenselessly. They are different from their charismatic appearance on stage wearing their uniforms.

    Seoul, Korea – Big Bang’s Seungri talked about a startling occasion of one fan who threw snacks at T.O.P.’s face.

    On February 28, on SBS’s broadcast of When it’s at Night (starring Tak Jehoon, Park Myungsoo, Kim Jaedong, After School’s Uee, CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa, and Big Bang’s Daesung) featured guests from the likes of 90s teen star H.O.T.’s Moon Hee Jun, Sechs Kies' Eun Jiwon, G.O.D’s Kim Tae Woo, and current idol, Big Bang’s Seungri.

    During the broadcast, Seungri said, “One day, T.O.P. was headed to the practice room when a fan threw sunflower seed snacks at T.O.P.’s face. The fan told him his name and told him to remember it.” Wondering why the fan threw the snack at his face, T.O.P. asked the fan, to which the fan replied, “Kang Dong Won was said to have remembered the name of a fan who had slapped him in the face at a fan signing event, and so I wanted to be remembered by T.O.P.”

    T.O.P told the fan, “Don’t do things like this from now on,” and then proceeded to give an autograph to the fan who had thrown the snack at him. After the incident, Seungri said, “T.O.P.’s actions became known among fans. One day, as I was trying to get to my car after practice, fans started throwing presents at me and asked me to remember them.”

    Meanwhile, SBS’s When it’s at Night was the most viewed variety show of the night, according to AGB Nielson ratings of 12.4%. Other shows that was broadcast in the same time slot were MBC’s Yoo Jaesuk and Kim Wonhee’s Come Over with 12.2% and KBS 2TV’s Hello with 6.2%.

    [News] G.Na ''I'm Happy That I Can Finally Bring My First Album''



    If this was an American drama, she might have played the role the ‘queen bee.’ Her slender height, unrealistically glamorous body, small face as well as her slightly upturned eyes would give off that kind of first impression of G.NA. She was born and raised in Canada and in her high school days, was the captain of both the volleyball and cheerleading squad. She would have been the pretty, blonde cheerleading captain and honor roll student who dated the football captain in the movies. Her hit debut track was ‘I’ll Back Off So You Can Live Better.’ It wasn’t even ‘leave’ or ‘break up’ but ‘back off,’ which is a rather strong character. However at the time, when a photographer asked G.NA who took her eyes off the camera to “Please look to the side,” she asked for assistance. “What is cheuk-myun(side)?”, her pronunciation of ‘mwo(what)’ more like ‘mo,’ seeing as to how her lips made a round shape while saying it. Her cat-like eyes became round like a puppy’s. And that is G.NA’s real face.

    A Time Where Music And Hardship Came Together 

    “Since I was in diapers, I loved to sing. If someone said ‘It’s Grandma’s birthday so sing a song,’ I would get on the dining table and sing. When I was five years old, we went to Disneyland. My parents were mindlessly looking for me when they found an Asian baby in a hanbok, dancing between Snow White and the beast from ‘Beauty and the Beast.’ Haha! Whether it was the church choir or the school band, there was never a time in my life where music wasn’t there.” After she graduated high school, she confessed in her awkward Korean that she wanted to live in Korea and that she wanted to make conversation with anybody who sat across from her like a friendly next-door lady. Her grandparents anticipated that she would go to college and take on a good occupation but she secretly sang and received business cards from companies. She persuaded her family that on the condition that she went to college, she could go to Korea to take auditions. Even with that, she diligently passed the first part of her life. 

    However, her hardships would continue. After passing her auditions, she had already given up on college and came to Korea. She was to be in a girl group called ‘the Five Girls’ when the company dispersed the group right before their debut in 2007. This group consisted of Wonder Girls Yubin, After School’s UEE, SECRET’s Hyosung and former T-ARA member Jiwon. While receiving training, she studied elementary level Korean and taught English in cram schools to pay for the living fees. But she doesn’t tell of how she dreamt of becoming a singer, the time she didn’t know where to spend every morning or the time where everything just became hard for her. Really, all she said determinedly was, “Back then, I worked really hard, you see. The things I’ve showed those friends weren’t everything. I really want people to know that I have much more to show.”

    After a long end of complications, G.NA released her debut track ‘I’ll Back Off So You Can Live Better’ and this year, her first full-length album . She recalled that the warm-up period was harder than she imagined in a confident way. “The other kids took 1~2 years but I took 4~5 years. However, because of that I could understand the culture and learn more of the language. If I don’t understand the song’s emotion, the people listening won’t be touched. If it had been me a long time ago, I would’ve said ‘I can’t get any older, I have to come out quickly.’ But lately the people around me have been saying ‘a young 25 year old G.NA’ so it’s okay. Haha!” However if she were able to go back to Canada this month and meet her family, “My grandpa could come over to our house and eat bean paste soup and they said they made my favorite, pickled sesame seed leaves!,” her face was excited then calmed down immediately. “When I first came to take auditions in Korea, I said ‘I’m not going back until I become a singer.’ But now that I can take my first album, I’m happy. But you see, I did want to go back after having done a better job. Just a little bit better!” And because this girl isn’t at the dorm, she’s always in the practice room - so if she disappears suddenly, nobody is worried. This hardcore lady won today’s Mnet with new song ‘Black & White.’ With her increasing will, "Just a little bit more!”

    [News] IU & Eun Ji Won together for 'Dream High' documentary



    Eun Ji Won and IU will be narrating a documentary together.

    On the upcoming March 3rd broadcast of KBS Radio CoolFM ‘Lee Hyun Woo’s Music Album’, the two will be narrators for the mini-documentary ‘Dream High, Sing Your Dreams.’

    This is a special broadcast meant to introduce and bring support for the Korean branch of ‘El Sistema’. ‘El Sistema’ is a Venezuelan outreach program and the Korean branch is called ‘Our Neighborhood Orchestra’, which focuses on teaching music to inner city children who have been exposed to the life of drugs and crime. 

    With this broadcast, they hope to encourage a sense of pride and achievement through music, for the 30 elementary school students who will be participating as ‘Our Neighborhood Orchestra.’

    Despite their hectic schedules, Eun Ji Won and IU have expressed “We are participating in this broadcast for the sake of the young children who have overcome hardships and have never given up on their dreams of pursuing music.”

    [NEWS] Staff at Vita500 tweets about Girls' Generation

    As most of you guys should know by now, Girls' Generation is currently endorsing for Vita500. The official twitter for the company that the drink is under: Kwang Dong Pharmacy has been answering a lot of questions from fans about the Vita500 product, as well as the Girls. The staff member working the account has been really nice trying to answer all the international fans' tweets even though the English has been overwhelming her a bit. Hangthienbao and I asked her about her experience on set with the Girls and she was kind of enough to tweet us in Korean so that she could express herself fully and we told her that we would translate it:




    "All the members greeted everyone brightly (were well-mannered) and seemed to be full of energy. Each member had her own interview, in which they all worked very hard and were very pretty.

    As a client, I could have taken a photo with them, but couldn't because they were so pretty that I thought I'd come out badly (in comparison) T T. I did still get autographs, though. The members seemed to be very close (with each other). They were all so adorable.

    I actually used to like SNSD for their songs only (their songs are exciting/invigorating, right?) Maybe it's because they're modelling for our company but I'm starting to like them a lot now, too. I'm moved by how well-mannered their Korean and international fans are."


    Time after time it's great to see staff that work with the Girls compliment them on their work ethic and of course great manners! It's also nice to hear that her impression of SONEs is very positive! Let's continue to follow Vita500! We also learned through her that because their contract with SM is exclusive to just Korea right now, the exported bottles of Vita500 will not have the label with the girls' faces but if there's an update or change she'll let us know!
