Popular idol group Super Junior member Kyuhyun took the number 1 place in the survey "the singer best matched in a school uniform is?"

In the survey which was conducted by Bugs Music Bugs Vote from the 24th to the 30th of last month, Jo Kwon(2AM), Kim Junsu(2PM), IU, Zinger(Secret), Sulli(f(x)) and other popular singers were included in the list.

[news] Park Shin Hye To Do 'Hayate the Combat Butler' in Taiwan!



GTV has just announced a new idol drama starring Korean actress Park Shin Hye and Taiwanese actor George Hu from K.O.3an Guo. The drama will be an adaptation of the popular manga/anime series “Hayate the Combat Butler” (旋風管家).

GTV is reportedly going to be paying for all expenses including plane tickets, hotel rooms and meals for the actress as well as her manager and assistant. She will also be bringing her own personal hair and makeup artist along during the two month filming period.

In preparing for the role, George Hu has been put under extensive training such as practicing martial arts, dancing, as well as singing. As the all-purpose combat butler, George is confident in showcasing not only his fighting skills, but also his ability to do house chores, “I’m great at cleaning the house. I’m also okay at cooking.” He even revealed that he once thought of becoming a chef too.

When Park Shin Hye visited Taiwan in the beginning of August, she met with George and had a hot pot dinner together. They didn't interact much due to the language barrier. George described Park Shin Hye as being “very quiet, skinny, and very cute," and looks forward to working with her.

As for GTV's other high profile project, "Extravagant Challenge", they have yet to make an official announcement on when filming will begin. Despite recent casting rumors, there was no mention of the drama's participation in the upcoming Taipei Television Festival. In addition to "Hayate", Meteor Garden producer Angie Chai will also promote her remake of "My Girl" starring Jimmy Lin at the showcase.

The famous Korean actor Song Seung-heon was named Honorary Ambassador of the musical comedy 'FANTA-STICK' on August 26th at the Korean Insurance 63 Art Hall, the main performance venue.

This is the first time a major Korean celebrity will be acting as a spokesperson for a non-verbal musical performance. The new partnership marks a new era for 'fusion performances', in which traditional art forms are featured in modern art performances.

During his acceptance of the title of honorary ambassador Mr. Song Seung-heon took photos with the FANTA-STICK cast and tried several of the instruments used in the show. The new photos of Song Seung-heon and the cast will appear on FANTA-STICK posters in the next coming months.

The story of FANTA-STICK is about a feud between the Percussion Family (who operates an auto repair shop) and the String Family, a ghost family on a mission to be turned back into humans. Of course, things get tricky when, in the midst of the feud, two members of the opposing families start to fall in love.

Since its opening last August, FANTA-STICK has become a Best Seller in the nonverbal performance category on the popular ticketing site Interpark, beating out old-time favorites like 'Drawing Show', and 'Ballerina Loves B-boy'. Though based on traditional Korean music, the show has plenty of modern elements, including a new "Car-formance", a percussion act featuring a vintage automobile.

As the new ambassador of the show, Mr. Song Seung-heon said that he hopes, 'not only to introduce the show to Korean and international travelers as part of Korean culture, but to help the show gain support and grow as part the world's shared culture'.

Singer Son Dam-bi is doing her part to give back to third world countries. More specifically, the children of third world countries.

The dance queen is currently the face for the premium sports brand, Descente Korea. She's teaming up with Descente to provide shoes to children who can't afford them. The company Descente is offering a discount on brand new shoes at their retail locations, as long as you donate a pair of your used shoes. Not only will all of the old shoes be sent to third world countries, the profits from the sales of the new shoes will be collected for charity donation as well.?

Making this campaign all the more meaningful, Son Dam-bi was the one to have started it. The singer expressed that shoes are incredibly important for these children who often live in remote or mountainous areas. Also, because these children often have to walk great distances to get to school, living without shoes can present great difficulties. She added that she was happy that she could be a part of such a great cause. She emphasized that one pair of shoes could make a world of a difference for these children who can only dream of such a luxury. She encouraged people to get involved and donate their shoes.

The shoes drive will continue until September 19th.

After 3 years and 8 months, finally Se7en has come back and he recently revealed that he got tips about how to behave on variety shows from SeungRi.

On the August 31 episode of Strong Heart, Se7en revealed that SeungRi gave him the advice on what to do on variety shows.
