Fans leave midway after listening to SHINee finish two songs!
Performing for seasoned, famed composer Oh Joonsung’s Korean Drama Favourites showcase, Korean boyband SHINee rounded off the concert for both nights.
When staff workers moved microphones up on stage during the last 20 minutes of the showcase, fans, which made up most of the audience, started getting excited and screams began to resonate in the concert hall.
SHINee performed two songs during the showcase, both composed by Oh Joonsung and featured in two different drama OSTs as well. After [Countdown], theme song of drama Dream, the five of them performed [Stand By Me], accompanied by Green Caocao (T/N: Mr Oh’s awesome band), the local strings section and Oh Joonsung himself.
The five did their best on stage and brought the entire showcase to its climax. Having waited since the beginning of the showcase for about an hour, there was no stopping the fans from screaming their lungs out and in the process, ignoring SHINee’s prowess at singing.
Despite the ban on both photography and videography, fans were all taking down the precious 8 minutes of SHINee’s performance.
After SHINee’s performance, about 60 members of the audience, all fans, rushed out of the concert hall in order to queue for a short fansign after the entire showcase. The showcase was still going on, and because SHINee fans occupied most of the front row seats, it was extremely awkward when they walked out just like that.
Despite being upstaged by SHINee, Oh Joonsung was still gracious and polite. Speaking in English, he assuaged the situation by telling the audience “I love SHINee”, “SHINee are my friends”, and won the applause of everyone present (T/N: You mean those that didn’t leave)
After news broke of the fans leaving, netizens have been commenting on various SHINee related sites, stating that those fans were “rude” and “embarrassing”.

OMG. that was rude. especially they were sitting on the first row. If I were them, I'd totally listen to them till the end. Why rushing to the fansign. Oh my, that must be awkward for the boys. Where were this?

this is probably the most embarrassing sight of my countrymen yoz.
after hearing this news, i seriously felt my heart breaking for mr oh.
he's awesome can, yet these people didn't have the basic courtesy of waiting till the concert was over before going out for the fansigning.
by the way, the esplanade staff reminds members of the audience to wait till the concert is over before leaving the theatre so i really wonder why they still could get out |:

I was seating at the 2nd row on the 1st day performance, and i saw the whole situation. totally embarrassing and rude.
Tried very hard to make up to him through our cheers and applauses. i hope Joonsung-sshi can feel warmth.
I'm singaporean, but I'm not going to deny that the younger fans over here have very poor concert etiquette. I'm sorry to say that.
that was kind of rude! lets say that they want to be first in the fan signing but they should have let the showcase to end first -.- anyways, it was really kind of joonsung that he kind of disregarded that moment and continue to end the showcase ^.^

i am there too, but i didn't run out. and i rly was trying very hard to hear their voices, but too bad, the fans just kept screaming, mr Oh is really a very very talented person, and i don't get why fans have to be so rude. i understand is their first trip and first live, but they shldn't makes things so awkward for the concert, and for other shawols who really do put in effort to make this a good experience for the guys and us. I must say not all fans are like that, there were some who actually do sit down and enjoy every single minute of the concert.
I agree. Even though i am from Singapore and a SHINee fan,
i still feel that we should feel respect for the rest of the singers and let SHINee sing their songs quietly without any noise.

Ohhmyy, tht was not very nice . The fans should atleast be considerate for mr Oh feelings . It wouldn't be nice to leave him for SHINee . Atleast wait for the concert to be over . Im rly dissapointed . Hope this kind of thing wnt be repeated again . It was rly a rude & embarassing action .

Oh my, I have to say that they're extremely rude although I'm a Singaporean too. Luckily Oh Joonsung is gracious enough but I'm sure he'd feel sad too.
im singaporean too & honestly i'm rather ashamed of some of the fans here, esp the young teenage girls. i understand that its really rare that a group like SHINee comes to singapore. & fans are probably even more 'crazy' cos they know that they may never (or very very unlikely) get to see SHINee in singapore again (compared to korean/US fans. even probably in Taiwan, they get to see these big stars quite often).
that said, fans need to learn to respect other performers. i understand the excitement, but im still very embarrassed by their IMMATURE actions.
i doubt anyone will wanna come singapore again.
& everyone else, please stop posting up news/fan accounts/videos on the ungracious acts. save us some face..

when their fans did tht, d'blame were put on shinee themselves.
fans should think about ths b4 taking or making any decision..

exactly. people here in singapore are just getting too scary. screaming and going crazy. im even more worried for shinee's safety.Seriously if i were them i would be terrified too! and btw i was there at the concert.first day. i couldnt hear their voices well as well. and i was appalled at how some left when the concert wasnt over yet. i was seated from row too~ but i didnt leave cos it was really a rude thing to do. Seriously. this has made a bad impression on shinee as well since we are his fans. i hope this time round we can all be more matured and be fans shinee can be proud of. Yea Shawols? :)
